About Matt...in his own words

​Like many of you, I am ready for a commissioner who is ready to roll up their sleeves, go to work for our district, and deliver tangible results. I am the candidate who will do just that.

If I am elected, I will defend our family values, help create long-term prosperity in our district, and defend our Constitutional freedoms. I am a Conservative voice you can count on to stand up boldly and fight for you.  Count on me to be 'all ears' and attentive--I am someone who listens.  

My core values come from my love of Christ and belief that if I was faithful, God would help me to overcome life’s trials and make my paths straight. I know this is true, and as a husband and father, I have carried on these principles which I see not only as the bedrock of my home, but of our great nation.

This firm foundation provided me not only a path to follow, but the building blocks for a courage and discipline that helped me to find success in my education and as an entrepreneur.

As someone who is a native of Nevada, I graduated from UNLV with degrees in Psychology and Political Science. With that knowledge and the support of my wonderful wife of 21 years—along with loyal family, and friends, I took on the challenge of becoming a small business owner.

I started A Hope Bail Bonds in Las Vegas in 2014 and obtained a non residential business license to do business in Nye County.  After several years of building a successful business amidst the chaos of the "big city" I grew up in, it eventually became clear where I needed to be – Pahrump. After careful contemplation, my wife and I took the leap of faith and moved our family and business to Pahrump.  I was not disappointed. The support of this community has been tremendous. I have not looked back.

I am running because I see our rural values being eroded, our rights are being rolled back by a body in need of adjustment, and not enough is being done to put our community first.  Our representative government is not representing us adequately.
