Dear friends of Pahrump. The campaigns are heating up, especially in District 5. I don't live in the district, but I have good friends who do. There are currently 5 people that have filed for the commission seat. Of the two I know, Matt Sadler should be the choice. Matt has always been a stand up guy. He is straightforward, a man who thinks before he speaks, and listens to understand. I had the opportunity to sit in an intimate setting with him at the Low Side Cigar Lounge last week. He answered questions honestly, gave time for dialog, and in my opinion he was articulate and open about his campaign. I don't hold any animosity toward any of the other candidates, but I believe it is time for a change. Not only in district 5, but across the board.

I have known Matt Sadler for approximately 2 years now.
I was aware of his contributions to our local youth through his event "Winter Wonder Slam" now celebrating its 4th successful year.

Matt shares my concern that First Responder and Law Enforcement presence is necessary to maintain the safety of our county and the Town of Pahrump. He also recognizes that that presence must be maintained through staffing and retention.

Matt Sadler is a person who follows through with practical ideas. He's a family man and orientated as far as values & direction. He is a business owner in Pahrump and also is concerned about Pahrump's issues and future. Matt has common interests with my concerns and he recognizes the need for long term growth of needed business in our town. He's open to ideas and a very approachable individual.

I met Matt Sadler around Spring, 2022, when Living Free Health opened it’s first therapeutic workplace: Living Free Cafe. Matt, his wife Sharon and children frequented the Cafe when our staffing and abilities were decent, but not great. Being open-minded and understanding of the mission Matt and Sharonwere patient and helped our newly-recovering addiction treatment client-employees the confidence to carry on. Also importantly, they dined in the Cafe a lot. That revenue, along with moral support, was very helpful to promoting the Cafe.
At this time, Matt also supported Living Free’s inaugural Art for Recovery charity dinner fundraiser November 2022. Matt and Sharon were very active in supporting the bidding and contributing financially in making this event a success.
I was invited on to appear on the Nevada Patriot Podcast that Fall of 2022, to provide me and Living Free Health a larger “megaphone” by which to describe our mission and the services we deliver in addiction treatment, co-occurring mental health therapy, sober/transitional living, a women & children’s program focused on Moms with substance use problems get healthy, have healthy babies and reunite with their families. People don’t get help if they don’t know it’s available!
The various interactions I have had with Matt Sadler over the years have been very positive. He is clearly interested in his community and the well-being of all of its residents. I found alignment in our thinking as he believes in self-efficacy and independence, but recognizes not everyone starts in the same place. He knows that “hand up” is what is needed to ensure “forever” success, while at the same time, enabling will not solve any problems. Facilitating positive change is no easy task and I like the fact that Matt Sadler agrees that there are multiple pathways to success as long as we keep an open mind and promote the individual’s autonomy.

Election season does not always draw the most moral or high-character candidates. Unfortunately, not everyone who files for office does so for the right reasons.

We moved to Pahrump 20 years ago and will not be leaving. However, over those years I have not seen the infrastructure needed for the population growth taking place.
I live in Dist 5 which includes Mt Falls, Burson Ranch and Cottonwood/Artesia. Yet we still do not have the basic services a population that size should have. No grocery store, drugstore or personal services such as vets, hair and nail salons.
Over the past few years we certainly have increased the number of gas stations and fast food joints (pizza, Mexican and another Denny’s )
We are now in an election cycle and it is very important to acquaint ourselves with each candidate and vote.
I am endorsing Matt Sadler as our new commissioner for Dist 5. Matt is not a politician!
His family moved here seven years ago and they are business folks. Over these past years Matt has made an effort to really get to know our town. He has worked with many service organizations and a strong supporter of nonprofit organizations.
Matt’s number one goal is transparency within our local government. He is looking ahead at the needs of the citizens living here and how to move forward to obtain what we need as we grow. Local services in Dist 5 are more important than spending millions on the fairgrounds project. He will work for better roads, to safeguard our community with adequate law enforcement and most important to me, inviting new businesses to come to Pahrump that provide services we need on a daily basis.

Yes he’s a hard-working business owner but, he really funnels his talents towards exceptional community service. Matt co-created and co-sponsors the Winter Wonder Slam to give food, gifts, and joy to thousands of children in our town. Matt and Sharon also founded the Women’s Conservative Tea event.
